I am very happy that jurors accepted my paintings, “Canadian Faces”, into such a prestigious N3XT Art Competition.
These portraits represent Canadians and many immigrants, including myself. We all come from different backgrounds and carry different psychological loads. In the series of four paintings I show close ups of different, but in a way similar faces. Similar, as we are all Canadians. Different, as each has an individual personality. Each one wears a symbolic eye mask as a suggesting unity, but the same time keeping their heritage.
